Purpose

Seeing the need for education, continued safety training and the importance for more professionalism in the tree care industry, the CAA was established in 1990.

The objective is to promote excellence in the field of arboriculture through continued educational seminars and skills training programs.

The benefits include higher quality personnel to the tree care industry, the environment and the public in general.

The Committee for the Advancement of Arboriculture is a non-profit organization comprised of all the major tree organizations in New Jersey which includes:

  • N.J. DEP Division of Parks & Forestry
  • N.J. Board of Tree Experts
  • N.J. Shade Tree Federation
  • N.J. Arborists, Chapter Internationsl Society of Arboriculture
  • Rutgers Cooperative Extension
  • N.J. Society of Certified Tree Experts
  • N.J. Utility Group
  • N.J. Community Forestry Council
  • Partnership with O.S.H.A. Region 2
