Students are required to bring the following equipment: Climbing Belt, Climbing Line, Lanyard, Hand Saw and Scabbard, Hard Hat, Work Boots and Work Gloves. Students must supply their own lunch.

Arboriculture I - 10 Day Course Over 5 Weeks

Basic Tree Climbing for:
Tree Worker Trainees, Commercial/Private
and Governmental Employees

Course Includes:

  • Basic Climbing Techniques
  • Target Pruning

  • General Tree Care
  • First Aid and CPR Course
  • Aerial Rescue
  • Chain Saw Safety
  • Electrical Hazard Awareness Program

Tree Workers with six months or more of
tree climbing experience

  • Cabling and Bracing Trees
  • Topping for Removal
  • Ropes and Knots
  • General Tree Care
  • Aerial Rescue
  • Electrical Hazard Awareness Program
  • Chain Saw Safety
  • Tree Identification
